Rishi is an experienced insurance business leader and brings a wide-range of capabilities across sales, marketing, products and more to the table. He has over 27 years of rich work experience across insurance and management consulting domains of which 18 years have been in leadership roles in insurance.
Rishi is championing the Company's Alternate business channels including Digital (e-commerce), Direct Sales and Defence. He also manages the overall Marketing function for the Company and is responsible for the Company’s brand visibility and marketing initiatives across all channels. In his capacity as the Chief Distribution Officer, Rishi carries cross-functional experience in financial, retail sales, corporate sales, business development and development of sales model for retail and commercial business within the life insurance space.
As Head of Marketing, Rishi has hands-on experience of launch / early growth of two life insurance companies in India, and of set up and growth of digital business as an SBU. He has built and led lean but effective strategic high-performance teams with a skill set that includes digital customer acquisition, online business growth strategy, product development, product portfolio management, partnership development and marketing.
In his prior insurance experience with Bharti AXA Life, he was heading product development and customer management. Rishi in his previous roles has worked with consulting firms Arthur Andersen and Stern Stewart, leading client engagements in India and Asia-Pacific region.
Rishi is an accomplished professional and holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta and B.Tech from IIT Delhi.
